Manu

National park of the Manu

One of the most extensive tropical parks of South America, located, in theSur-Oriental region of Peru, nailed in the last Andean abutments of the Department of the Cusco and Madre de God. It includes an extension of 2 million square Hectares of a rich territory in species of flora and fauna; with a variety of habitats Andean, high Andean, tropical and subtropical.

This natural paradise recognized by UNESCO like World-wide Biosphere Reserve, lodges the greater biological diversity in protected areas of rainy forest and several endemic species of the cloud Forest.

First Day

Exit of the City of the Cusco very early in the morning in one of our vehicles specially equipped for the route. We will cross interesting Andean valleys and colorful communities farmers. Mid-morning we will visit tumbsa pre-Incas of Ninamarca; known like Chullpas, and soon to direct to us to Paucartambo, typical colonial town of much importance. Continuing the trip we will ascend until opens of Acjanacu 3,800.m.s.n.m. from we will initiate the reduction here passing by the "forest of clouds", very rich zone in native species like the Bear of eyeglasses and the gallito of rocks, orquídeas, bromelias, ferns, etc.

Second Day

Very early we will be able to appreciate the interesting dance of courtship of the gallito of rocks, national bird of the Peru, that has a showy plumage of red color very intense orange, after having breakfast we will continue our trips in bus, crossing the high forest, arriving later at the locality of Watchtower, located to borders of the high Mother of God, to 700 m.s.n.m. place where the fluvial equipment of the company is located. Soon we will approach a boat outside the hut we will arrive until arriving at the deprived reserve of Erika, by where we will be able to walk by its interesting trails. Spend the night in the shelter.

Third Day

This day we will also start off with our boat to the native community of Shipietari where we will make a short route soon to continue our trip with destiny until the airport of Mánu Mouth, immediately later we will sail in waters of the Mánu river in Reserved Zone, soon to give beginning to one short long walk by the forest being able to find to us with a variety of birds, monkeys, etc.

Fourth Day

This day we will approach our boat, in the direction of Rescuing Cocha, where we will spend following the two nights. During this passage we will be able to appreciate an endless number of species of birds, caymans and some mammals. Possibility of making a nocturnal long walk around our camping, will use the Rescuing catamaran of cocho and with the help of our lanterns to be able to observe the black cayman that leaves in search of its prey.

Fifth Day

Early we will have the opportunity to visit Rescuing Cocha using the catamaran again, being able to appreciate some species of fauna such as the giant otter, the black cayman, hoatzin, the monkey spider and flora of the environs, soon we will return to the camping where the personnel will be hoping to offer a repairing breakfast. Soon to cross a primary forest with greater diversity of species arriving after four hours from long walk at Cocha Otorongo, lagoon where it exists observation towers of 15 meters of height from which we will have the opportunity to appreciate the landscape of the surrounding forest and greater possibilities of seeing the resident family of giant otters.

Sixth Day

That day we will approach our boat in that we will sail by the Manu river, and stop mother of God. From this point, the river takes the name from Mother of God. After this passage we will arrive at dusk at the Deprived Reserve of White Inn in where we will spend one night but surrounded by the magic of the forest.

Septimo Day

Very early before the breakfast, using a catamaran camouflaged we will go towards collpa, an argillaceous wall of the river, where the different species from parrots and guacamayos lower each morning to extract necessary minerals for their dietetic balance. The pericos, amazonian parrot give a beautiful spectacle. Soon we will go to the airport of Manu Mouth where existia the option to take the flight from return to the city of the Cusco.
